Does it launch with shift down? Your prefs should be fine becausue never launched, but to reset holding down shift cmd opt immediatley after starting illustrator.

Utilities>Adobe Installers and uninstall Adobe Illustrator

    then reinstall

Update the Wacom drivers. (Also check by uninstalling the wacom).

Found a solution on another thread. I enabled the font Verdana - Illustrator CC crashes have now stopped. Running Mountain Lion OS X 10.8.4 (12E55).

Issue resolved through connect. Culprit "wacexport.aip" plug-in which was added in the AI CC installed folder location.

Thanks to all the posts on this page - I now realise that the reason my CC Illustrator and Indesign were crashing was because of the wacexport.aip file mentioned above that belongs to the Wacom Inkling. The Inkling plugin is not compatible with CS6 or CC.

I found a mention of it on this page in the release notes near the bottom - http://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/release-note/illustrator-cs6-releas e-notes.html

Actually a CS6 compatible version of the Inkling is available from Wacom in case you need it. But not a CC version yet.
