Not quite understanding ā€“ you have FM6 .fm files that arenā€™t opening in what version of FM? Or are they .fm files from some other version that you are trying to open in FM6?

You're aware that this is a user forum and almost all replies come from

your peers -- people working with Frame and not Adobe support specialists,

correct? I'm asking because you addressed this to FrameMaker Support, and

this is not that.

Building on Jeff's request for more information, please tell us your system

details -- operating system and so on, and exactly how you're trying to

open the files -- from the FM File menu > Open; double clicking a .fm file,

dragging a .fm file icon into Frame, or some other mechanism?

Is it happening with any file you try or just some in particular? Can you create a new .fm file that saves and opens ok?

If it's only some files, then when was the last time that they opened fine for you? What has changed since then? Maybe they have gotten damaged in some way - you may need to restore from a backup.
