Is there a discount for existing users of CoolEdit (Windows) for an Audition (Mac) license?  If so, what's the process.  Thanks in advance.

No, I'm afraid there isn't. You can't even get any discount for upgrading from earlier Audition versions (1, 1.5). But that's not your biggest problem, not by a long way. That is that you can't purchase a perpetual licence at all. All you can do these days is rent the software from the Adobe Cloud service - no other options available, I'm afraid.

    SteveG,

Are you saying that you cannot even buy a download perpetual licence for Audition CS6, now?  I thought Adobe were saying that they would continue to sell the CS6 range for the indefinite future?  That certainly seems to be the case with Prtemiere CS6.

I believe that you can still buy the perpetual license version of CS6 but finding it on the Adobe web site is somewaht difficult.

    Try https://www.adobe.com/products/catalog/cs6._sl_id contentfilter_sl_catalog_sl_software_sl_creativesuite6.html?start=20

    Ryclark,

thanks for confirming my understanding of the state of play - I had picked up on the need for a good satnav to locate the download!

I was assuming that the OP wanted the current version...

But yes, Audition CS6 is available to purchase because it will never be updated - therefore Adobe won't fall foul of Sarbanes-Oxley.
