I am new to Adobe Premiere CS_5 (usually use FCP). I am having problems importing still images. Even though the images are all different and have unique names (I'm importing .jpg), every time I import the images they ALL convert to the same image when I drag them to my time line. Then, when I look in the project area - no matter which image I click on, they are all the same (but with their original names). Does anyone know WHY this happens and how I can fix it? I cannot, for the life of me, figure it out. Thank you in advance from the noob.
That's certainly bizarre! What are the names of the jpg files? The only thing I can think is that if they have the same base name with sequential numbering, then maybe they're being imported as multiple instances of the same frame sequence.
Thanks for the reply. It was, indeed, the way I renumbered the jpg files. Since I had to muddle through 7 different people's pictures, I renamed them in the order I wanted to use them (001, 002, 003.jpg...). By doing that, Premeire got confused. The strange thing is even if I left the images as their original names when they were downloaded off the cameras, if it was in some sort of numbered order (ie: canyon231, canyon232, canyon233.jpg...) it would do the same thing. ANY ordered list would convert ALL the pictures to the same one. It is definitely a bug. But after finding the problem, I was able to make the necessary changes in the names to prevent the problem from happening. Tough to do when I had over 1000 photos to muddle through and organize. =/ Thanks for your replies!
