Hi guys, I've been working on an interactive pdf (Adobe Acrobat Pro for Mac) and linked some sounds to it. Then I send it to a friend who also used a Mac but she is unnable to hear the sounds. What could the problem be?
You are using Acrobat Pro - but what version?
What exact software are they using to view their PDF? (Including the possibility of using a browser)? What version of Adobe Reader if any is installed?
Ok, I used Adobe Pro 9.0. Not sure what she used but probably the same, also in a Mac. She uploaded in the web and I know some other people have problems downloading, for example, lost of format if downloaded with firefox, but ok with safari and explorer.
I did not sent the sound file together with the pdf (as one would for a ppt presentation), but another friend go the same file I sent him and it opens fine!!!

There really can't be a "probably". You need to specify the software to use, and to verify it is used. There are now many, many non-Adobe PDF readers with less features. Mac OS includes one (Preview). Many browsers now include their own.
