Installation issues

I have CS6 on a Mac (10.7.5). I have updated all Adobe software installed on my machine, including the Application Manager, and deleted application preferences, but every time I open the Folio Builder pallete in InDesign, it says "a software update is required to use DPS." I've downloaded both AdobeDigitalPublishingPatch-CS6-26-3.0.0 and AdobeDigitalPublishingPatch-CS6-27.0.0. The latter says "Update Failed. The patch is not applicable for you."

Can someone explain how I can get DPS to work? Thanks!

P.S. I'm not a creative cloud member.

Try using the InDesign CC/CS6 link on this page to navigate to the DPS Desktop Tools installer for InDesign CS6. If running that updater doesn't work, let us know.

Have you tried choosing "Help > Updates" in InDesign? If so, are you prompted to install the DPS Desktop Tools?

You might also try clearing the cache in your browser or using a different browser to install the tools. You might be trying to install from a cached file.

That's odd. Have you installed any InDesign prerelease software?

I'm not sure what else to suggest. I'll ask around.

Thanks for following up. I would think that choosing Help > Updates would update InDesign, but I'm glad that uninstalling InDesign did the trick.
