YouTube Time Elapsed Display Gets Smaller After Flash Update

I recently updated my version of Adobe Flash Player to 11,8,800,94 and, since I've done this, the time elapse display in YouTube has gotten smaller in both Firefox and Chrome.  I'm using Windows 8.  How do I fix the YouTube display problem?  Thanks for any advice!
