Increase available RAM for FS use.

Jul 17, 2013 11:24 AM

Can't allocate more of my available RAM.  Program only recognizes 1600 MB to be my 100% allocation, although I have 8GB RAM available.

Probably running the 32 bit program.  Load the 64 bit program.

If you set your Photoshop 32bit Preference Performance memory option to 100% it should be able to use around 3.25GB of ram. Try reseting you preferences files then set it to 100% again. On my windows 7 Pro system I see 3.25GB available for Photoshop 32bit version  set to 100%.  I don't have Photoshop 64 set to 100% I only let it use 33.25GB of my 40GB of RAM.
