Why, when I open Premiere Elements 11 on my windows 8, do I get"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime error. This application has requested runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application support team for more information."
Any solutions, thanks, Jim B.'
Is this a "it worked before but not now" or "it never worked before" issue?
How long have you been using Premiere Elements 11 on Windows 8? Can we assume Windows 8 64 bit?
Here is a prior thread here that discussed the issue. Please review to see if anything in the thread applies to your situation.
I installed it about a month ago and although it has worked , I always got that error message. But now,I'm having issues such as only part of a video will work such as the audio and then the video won't work on other parts of the video. Yes, my windows 8 is 64 bit. Excuse my ignorance since I'm a newbie but how do I identify the "http://forums.adobe.com/message/5129399 ? Is there somewhere where there is the number 51229399?
Thanks for your help. Jim B

When you click on that link, it should open to a thread with a discussion on troubleshooting the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error situation. Did the link not open. It seems to be working. Please try clicking the link again and let us know the outcome.
