Why doesPhotoshop Elements Organizer opens when I click on Adobe Photoshop?

Jul 17, 2013 3:05 PM

I'm using a MacBook Pro and each time I try to open Adobe Photoshop Elements, the icon for both it and Photoshop Elements Organizer pop up on the menu bar.  If I click on APS Elements, it doesn't open, but the Organizer opens instead.  This is a new phenomenon. I used to be able to just open Elements. What can I do to make this quit happening?

It depends on what version you are using.  In PSE 10 and 11 you can change this "phenomenon" by going to the welcome screen and changing the settings to as shown in this picture:

If you tell us what version you are using, we can give you more info how to get the welcome screen if you are not getting it.

I don't use Mac so I can't help you further.

    Good luck.

The actual editor file is hidden away in the support files folder in the PSE 10 folder. Here's the one you want:

Just drag youru current icon from th dock, then launch the editor one time, and then, while it's running, click-hold its dock icon and choose Keep in Dock.
