Hi there,

I applied an effect called "screen roll" to a text and I want it to stop at a specific position after a roll and a half but I don't know how ..  I tried playing with different values but i couldn't do it ..  I'm a beginner .. could you tell me what to do in details, please ?

It's very important and urgent

                    Thank you

I've not used the screen roll effect before, but if you want to text to stop after such a short amount of time maybe it would be easier to just manually keyframe it with just position key frames?

Just a thought to possibly save you time/ be the quicker option.

    Hope this helps!

You didn't apply an effect, you applied an animation preset which can be a combination of effects and keyframes.

In this case, you don't want to apply preset and should just keyframe the position yourself.

As someone who's new to After Effects, you should really start here. A little bit of time spent getting a solid foundation will save a lot of time and frustration later.
