Ok a client has asked us to create an e-book for them. It's going to have loads of info in, listings of comapnies etc but we want to actually design it nicely in ID 5 and also have a few pages of ads.
Now we can do that here, and at some point it will be printed - but if we want to upload it to their website what is the best way of doing it? Can we keep the same formatting and font sor do we have to use web fonts. Will the formatting change and also will it be viewable on tablets, iphones etc?
I've not done this before so any help would be really appreciated but I have been told I can save my ID file as a flash file and it will work on the web?
Thanks in advance,
Do you have the Adobe Digital Publishing Suites? There's a lot of automation right from modern versions of InDesign directly into e-books, apps, etc. Here's a showcase of digital publishing to see what can be done:
If you just export to Flash then things like fonts will be embedded, but you would be a lot better off publishing it to HTML5 content all devices can read and search engines can easily index.
