Since applying update 11 on CF10 \ColdFusion10\cfusion\logs\coldfusion-error.log reports this error in bold:

org.apache.catalina.core.AprLifecycleListener init

INFO: The APR based Apache Tomcat Native library which allows optimal performance in production environments was not found on the java.library.path: C:\\ColdFusion10\\cfusion\lib;C:\\ColdFusion10\\cfusion\jintegra\bin; C:\\ColdFusion10\\cfusion\jintegra\bin\international;C:\\ColdFusion10\ \cfusion\lib\oosdk\classes\win

With update 10 applied the same log file reports this way:

org.apache.catalina.core.AprLifecycleListener init

There is also this message frequently occurring in coldfusion-error.log since update 11

org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapperValve invoke

SEVERE: Servlet.service() for servlet [CfmServlet] in context with path [/] threw exception [ROOT CAUSE:

java.lang.StackOverflowError

at coldfusion.runtime.NeoBodyContent.cfoutput(NeoBodyContent.java:121)

Is there a problem with update 11? Update 10 seems to perform better.

Thanks, Carl.

    Hi Carl,

    Thanks for the details of your log.

    Does this problem arise when you try to visit the Scheduled Task page.If yes, a possible cause could be the neo-cron.xml's curroption.

    Could you use a back up of this file, in case you have and reboot the server and verify.

    If above case is not applicable, could you please add some information about what causes this problem to occur.

    Thanks,

    Anjaneai

    Hi Carl

    First of all, it's an honour to reply you

    Carl, did you try to rollback to update 10 and remove the logs, so that when you apply the update 11 and then check the same in fresh logs?

    Though logs always have a timestamp however I believe it's worth a shot as you have tried the same. I did check the same at my end and not able to find out the same behavior.

    Thanks

    VJ

    Hi Carl

    Sorry for the delayed response. Didn't get java.lang.NullPointerException at coldfusion.etc

    Carl,  i'm seeing this same issue on two of my clients' servers.  In each case they are running Windows 2003 32-bit.  I haven't noticed the same issue on multiple other servers all of which are running 64-bit Server 2008 or higher with 64-bit CF installed.

    Did you ever find a resolution to this?  Each time they reboot their web servers CF failed to start.  If you wait a little bit and try it again a little later it comes up.  Seems like it times out initially.

    What is the level in the logging.properties (C:\ColdFusion10\cfusion\runtime\conf)?

    org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[Catalina].[localhost].level = INFO

    OR

    org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[Catalina].[localhost].level = WARN

    Thanks

    VJ
