Run as Adobe Flash Pro Extension

Tags: #flash_professional #extension_builder_2.1

Trying this on a new sample project (the one with just a button) but no extension is available in the Window>Extension menu.

I am using Adobe Extension Builder 2.1 and Flash Pro CS 6 12.0 on Mac.

I followed all the troubleshooting instructions here: http://cssdk.host.adobe.com/sdk/2.1/docs/WebHelp/getting_started/runni ng.htm

And all besides the .plist files (which are named slightly different and there wasn't any xx3xxx version) seems fine.

The PSVideoDemo example works fine in PhotoShop CS6.

Thanks!

    Hi,

    Thanks for the query.

    Let me make sure I understand you correctly. You are using Extension Builder 2.1 to build and run a sample extension in Flash Pro CS6 and it doesn't show up in the Window->Extensions menu?

    Best regards,

    Hallgrimur

    That .plist file step in the trouble shooting document  is mandatory. If you didn't find files maybe you are looking into /Library instead of /Users/{yourAccountName}/Library. The file name is com.adobe.CSXS.3.plist.

    You need to confirm following content:

    <dict>

         ...

         <key>PlayerDebugMode</key>

         <string>1</string>

    </dict>

    Then can you post the content of /Users/{yourAccount}/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS6ServiceManager/extensions/{your_extension_bundle_id} /CSXS/manifest.xml, as you should check in the trouble shooting step 2?

    Hi,

    Thanks for trying out our suggestions.

    We have now learned that this is probably a problem with Flash Pro CS6 and I'm talking to that team to figure out what's going on.

    I will keep you updated on our progress.

    Best regards,

    Hallgrimur
