It may be that you need to expand the audio track in the timeline, select to view volume keyframes and use the pen tool to select all the keyframes and delete them with the Del key on the keyboard.

    Just change them to 0.

Dble Click / or right Click on the slider knob or the O

One of those I think from memory.

    Correct.

Do you want to reset the fader or remove keyframes?  Those are two different actions.

Surely resetting the faders and removing the keyframes are one and the same!

I know it won't help here but I might make a feature request. With the automated hardware consoles I have used they had a write to end button, you put the fader in write, set the level you wanted and pressed the write to end button and it wrote that level to the end of the sequence. It did it for all the automated parameters so you could do dynamics and eq as well as fader levels.

OK, so just change them to 0, or double-click on them.

Nooo...why would they be?  That'd be akin to removing the In/Out points of your clip in the Source Monitor also deleting the clip from your sequence.  It'd be disastrous and very much unwanted behavior.

Well, if the OP means that he wants to undo the writing of audio levels to track ie, get rid of the keyframes  - ergo reset the faders, that's exactly what he must do.

He does say that he wants to start the mix afresh!!
