drop frame

premiere pro drops frames during playback all the time. What is going wrong???? (32gb- 3.4GHz- GTX670- raid5)

    Typically it means you system just can't handle real time playback of those clips/effects.

    Do you have a green line, yellow line or red line above your timeline?

    What is the source of your MXF files and also, are you bringing your clips in Premiere with the proper folder structure using Media Browser.

    That response indicates you obviously know what you are doing, but unfortunately I don't have an answer as to why it is dropping frames. Unless....

     

    Did you create the sequence by dropping one of your video clips on to the "New Item" button or did you use the menu for "File/New/Sequence"?

     

    Dropping the media on the "New Item" button is a much better choice the vast majority of the time.
