Where can I find the downloaded lens profile file (lcp)

I used Adobe lens profile creator to download a lens profile. I cannot find the file. It is not in the standard folder for lens profiles.

Where does lens profile creator downloads the lcp file? It says local disk?

If you provide some essential details such as Operating System and Lightroom version, someone will be able to provide details of the default location for user-created lens profiles.

OK, you should be able to see the profile here:

    Macintosh HD / Users / [your username] / Library / Application Support / Adobe / CameraRaw / LensProfiles /

On Mac OS X downloaded lens profiles are stored in this folder :

    Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe/LensCorrection/1.0/Settings

If it's not there check  the 'Location' field in the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader app. It should show as 'Installed' and not 'Online.' Also keep in mind that there are separate raw and JPEG lens profiles. A raw lens profile will not be visible inside LR with a JPEG image and vice-versa.

In which case I can't help....that's the location that the downloader is supposed to use (in sub-folder "/1.0/Downloaded").

    Try downloading again maybe?

Are you applying the lens profile to raw images or JPEG images?. As explained a raw lens profile will NOT be visible inside LR with JPEG image files.

If you are using raw images then you may have to "manually" select the lens profile from inside LR's Lens Corrections> Profile panel:

    1) Make: Set to camera type (Canon, Nikon, etc.)

    2) Model: Select the downloaded lens profile

    3) Profile: (May show additional lens profiles available.)

    4) Setup: Select 'Save New Lens Profile Defaults'

Downloaded lens profiles use "cryptic" alphanumeric naming. This is the type of file you will see inside the download folder:

    Example: b44f334142db4ead925447f8b5957f3e.lcp
