I have edited an image of a Map - it came as a GIF.
I had to open the GIF and delete the text and lines pointing to certain areas.
I added text as Text Layers in Photoshop and saved it is a PSD for safe keeping.
I have now saved it as
PDF with Layers
PDF Compatilblity 6.0
But the PDF won't import to InDesign - it just says "Failed to Import PDF".
What settings are necessary to generate a PDF that will insert to InDesign from Photoshop?
Not sure what happened.
I noticed FAUX BOLD was applied (that's what I get for using Shortcuts I guess..)
I took this off and put on real Bold.
Tried to Drag and Drop the PDF in and got the same message.
Then I tried File>Place and Show Options
And it imported just fine.
Plus now I can drag and drop the image in too.
The only problem I have now is when I go to
Edit With>Photoshop CS5
It tells me it's not a file that's supported....
Well I want to print this eventually - or have the option.
I converted the original file from index to CMYK then converted it to Gracol Coated (what is mostly used here)
I then proceeded to remove the text and lines I didn't want.
I added text layers using 100% Black text to replace all the text in the file.
For now it seems to be resolved though.
