My NEF thumbnails have just started showing as bright pink in Bridge. They are ok when I open them in ACR. I am using cs6 and Mac 10.5.6
In Bridge go to menu bar and select: Adobe Bridge CS6 / Camera Raw Preferences
If under default image settings a checkmark shows in front of Apply Auto tone adjustments deselect it and hit OK. (the thumbs should rebuild but otherwise use menu tools / cache/ purge cache for folder to get the original thumbnails back.
If this does not work try to add a screenshot with the problem.
Thanks for the reply Omke. My Bridge settings were OK so i decided to import files to bridge from memory card and there was not a problem As I usually import from SD card using View NX2 (Nikon program)and then open in Bridge I have decided the problem is with NX2 so I am going to give it a miss and just use Bridge from now on. I cant work out why this problem has just started after using it for over 12 months...weird.
That is indeed weird, no experience with Nikon (use Canon ) but it is not the first time problems about interaction between both brands are reported.
However if it worked before there might have been some setting in NX2 changed if your Bridge settings did not change. But using Bridge Photodownloader from card reader is a workflow I am using for a long time without problems other then not importing High speed series not imported in the correct order as they where shot (using sort by create date in Bridge usually corrects this)
Thanks Omke, I think a power higher than me is telling me to change my workflow for the better...which I will now do. There is really no reason to use View NX2 when i have the complete CS6 with bridge.
Onward and upward...love photography and photoshop.
Thankyou Curt and Omke. I am not sure what the problem was so I reinstalled CS6 and all is OK. Camera Raw Preferences were not coming up in Bridge (they were in Photoshop) so I guess they were somehow de
leted. Thus the reinstallation. Its good to know that this forum is available.
