I am trying to import subtitles from a software called Aegisub to Adobe Encore, but i am receiving this error message:

The software that is used to decode the media is not available on this system. Installing the correct decoders for the files you are working with may help to correct the problem.

I have exported the subtitles as an Encore text file but it still won't allow me attach these to my video. I have exported the video from Premiere as an H.264 and that slots into Encore just fine, i just need to use Encore to attach the subtitles.

Can anyone tell me what i might be doing wrong?

Thank you.

What is the extension of the file with the subtitles?

    Mac or PC?

    Version of Encore?

NCOR is an Encore project. When you import a subtitle file, it is a .txt or such.

I assume you exported from Aegisub, specified Encore, and saved as a .txt. It is a .txt you import to Encore.

What is in the file? Can you post a couple lines?

Ah. I think you have been importing this like a timeline or asset. Right click in the subtitle track area; pick "Import Subtitles."
