What do I have to do to convert PDF to Word files?

Aug 31, 2013 7:00 PM

I just bought and installed Adobe Acrobat XI Pro thinking I would

be able to now convert PDF files to Word files - but no -

when I click on the icon to do this - it wants me to spend

more $$ for this feature - is this correct?

Moved to Creating, Editing & Exporting PDFs.

File -> Save As Other -> Microsoft Word

Open the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat, not Adobe Reader.

If you have bought Adobe Acrobat then you will have the Save As Other > Microsoft Word menu item, and there's no charge to use it.

If you are still opening your files in Adobe Reader, then it will be trying to sell you a subscription to the ExportPDF online service. You don't need that if you have Acrobat installed.
