I am trying to capture video from a sony hvr, but when I try to set up the capture setting, it only gives me the noral DV option. This is usless to me. Am i missing a driver? All of the camera settings are perfect. Premire just doesnt show a HDV option for captureing. Every tutorial ive looked at shows a perfect HDV option right beside the DV option. Please help.
Could very well reverted to trial.
Do you have all your sequence presets?
Deactivate, deinstall, run cleaner tool and reinstall, activate.
See if that will help.
I have NOT used it, but many say to try this for HDV capture http://strony.aster.pl/paviko/hdvsplit.htm
I have used HDVSplit and would still be using it if I was going to shoot with my old camera. I didn't the last time because I used the camera for one long take of the entire stage and used it when cutting back and forth between two other cameras. So no need for multiple clips based on timecode breaks.
But HDVSplit works fine. Ignore the "beta" issue. It is old, and reliable.
But if OP does not have a hdv setting then he/she wont be able to capture hdv.
Yes, but I think the bigger worry is that if they don't have an HDV setting, will their system support editing MPEG video?
I think the best bet is to get the HDV setting back somehow.
