How do I remove bulk duplicates from Folders in Elements 11 Organiser?

Sep 12, 2013 8:15 PM

If anyone knows how to do this please let me know.  I have just transferred all my files from my computer to the Organiser and I notice that there are quite a few duplicates appearing in the folders. Is there a quick way to delete the duplicates?

One way is: select a folder on left side. Now select all images from grid and click on 'Find->By Visual searches->Duplicate photos'. Now select all the duplicates and click on 'delete' button present in this dialog.

Please let me know if that doesn't work for you.

I am afraid not. There is no easy way so as to delete only the duplicates in one go. You need to select the files which you want to delete manually (either using shift or ctrl key)

That was possible in older versions of Elements.

I have also found that the older versions were much more precise in finding similarity. Maybe it's just me, but I found that that feature is now almost unusable.
