If anyone knows how to do this please let me know. I have just transferred all my files from my computer to the Organiser and I notice that there are quite a few duplicates appearing in the folders. Is there a quick way to delete the duplicates?
One way is: select a folder on left side. Now select all images from grid and click on 'Find->By Visual searches->Duplicate photos'. Now select all the duplicates and click on 'delete' button present in this dialog.
Please let me know if that doesn't work for you.
I got to where all the duplicates were displayed next to the originals,
however, is there a way to select just the duplicates in one hit from this
screen. If I use the shift key it selects the original and copy? I really
appreciate your help.
That was possible in older versions of Elements.
I have also found that the older versions were much more precise in finding similarity. Maybe it's just me, but I found that that feature is now almost unusable.
I have followed Andromedia advice and once the duplicates have been
recognized it is easy to select the items to delete by using the Cntrl key
and then deleting in one click. I forgot about the Cntrl key and was only
using the shift key which of course highlighted them all. So problem
solved. Thanks to all for their help.
