I'm in post on a feature film, and I've found myself with the unfortunate task of doing sound design. Because I don't have the money to buy Pro Tools, or Logic, I wanted to use Audition or Premiere CS6 to sound design the film. My editor gave me the Vocal and Sound files in seperate OMF's in the .aaf format. But, when I open Audition or Premiere, neither find the files and won't allow me to open them, when I force it.
What can I do to get Adobe to open these files so I can get to work? The clock is ticking and I don't know what to do.
Take a look at AATranslator. But it's not free I'm afraid.
Alternatively try and get the editor to send you the raw audio files and a preview video file and track lay yourself.
That is unusual as Audition has one of the best OMF converters going around
Email me via the aatranslator web site - I'd be happy to take a look at those files and see what we can do to get you back in action
