I'm trying to build a DVD image out of Encore.
- I've set the format to DVD and the output to DVD Image.
- Sourced it to "Current Project"
- All the "Disc info" is within the proper boundries
.... but when I browse in order to save it to a destination the Save function is greyed out. Mo matter where I try and save it to Encore will not activate the save function.
Any idea why?
I can't get "save" to grey out. I assumed at first you have not named the project, but untitled works. I then assume there is a permissions issue with the drive or drvies you are trying to access. But even some networked drives that I should not be able to access seemed okay.
When you select a folder, do you see "Open" instead of saved; and can you open the folder?
Encore is looking for a file name, but even with no name, my "save" button is not greyed out.
Thanks for the reply.
Under "Destination" when I browse to any drive/folder/whatever it is the "save" button that I see. But it continues to stay greyed out.
Encore will allow me to create a DVD Disc to a disk drive with optical media, but nothing else.
Very odd and I can't figure it out why.
I assume you get the same thing if you create a new Encore project?
Try the options here re administrator rights. And maybe trashing preferences.

Well turns out the answer was right in front of my face, and you actually referenced it earlier.
In my version (CS5.1) I do have to physically type a name in the "save as" box before the save button activates. I had assumed it would just take the disk name (already entered in the disk info area) and use it. But no, it wants you to enter it again.
Just goes to prove once again that assuming something really does make a.. well, I think we all know the saying.
Thanks so much for your help.
