Google analytics for mobile show no data

Hi all,

I added Google Analytics for my mobile application, but it's been 12 days and I see NO data there.

I checked the code and it seems fine, no exceptions or anything like that.

Here is the code I used:

tracker = new GATracker( this, "(My Google Tracking Code)", "AS3", false );

tracker.trackEvent("myapp","Start","User started playing");

If it helps, I tried Flurry - but same results - no data is being reported....

Any ideas ?

    Hi Kobydo2,

    I'm using GATracker and data is being reported, so I can confirm that it works. (Though I haven't tested to confirm that every trackEvent() gets through to GA, so I can't speak to its reliability.)

    If I recall correctly, while trackEvent() works, trackPageView() didn't seem to do anything.

    Perhaps if you tried commenting out the trackPageView() line the code would start working?

    Other than that, your code seems correct.

    I don't know if this makes any difference but I keep a single instance of GATracker in a property - i.e. only instantiate it once per session.

    You can view my code here:

    Hi Koby,

    I'm sorry, but I don't have much to suggest. Google Analytics - at least from my point of view - is a big opaque box.

    One thing I've noticed is that there tends to be a delay before results show up. A day? Longer?

    Oh. Just noticed something. It appears that perhaps GATracker is working for me on Android, but not on iOS. I just checked my stats and I see no visits in the last five days - during which time period I've definitely been using my app - but I've been using it on the iPhone.

    Can anyone confirm that GATracker works for them on iOS?
