When I uploaded test site page to server…
…the page presents well in Safari and FireFox on Mac (built on work station using MacPro 10.8.5 Dreamweaver CS6) but on browser testing in Windows IE v10, the image file had an unusual "texture" covering the lower half. To further confuse, 3rd tester on older v8 IE image appearance good.
As an aside, on upload of the page in question, along with related files, I noticed an "/images/.DS_Store" file on initiating synchronization preview. On research, not having seen that particular file before, I went to:
In short explanation, Apple generates this file. But I had the impression that after researching exactly what it is, I am thinking I could probably just get rid of it. However, I do not want to do so without some informed opinion as to whether to leave it or delete it, as I have no idea if it will affect page appearance in any other particular OS or browser environment. That leaves me to wonder if that might be the cause of the altered appearance in Internet Explorer v10.
It is obviously a hidden file, as I don't see it in local folder but only when uploading, on preview, during synchronizing local to server.
Could there be a relationship between that file and altered image appearance on the specified page? Delete, or keep?
