Hi There,

Im trying to get an png sequense form fireworks to edge.

Im using 'John dunning' extension (0.3.5.mxp).

If I export the sequense as 'Sprite Animation' and place the Symbol on the stage the animation starts to play and I can use it.

If I export the sequense as 'PNG Animation' and place the Symbol on the stage the animation WONT start. I cant get it to play!

I have read the 'Sprite Animation' can couse problems across differnt browers and tablets, so I really want to use the 'PNG Animation'.

I've stared at this problem for a couple of hours now.

I hope there is somebody outthere that can tell me how to do this,

Please Help!!

You can send a link to a storage like dropbox, box.net or adobe cloud.

    Hi there,

Hopefully someone has a better answer!!!

The way the png is imported is strange to me because the display shows that it is off for all images but it is not really since they are actually showing in the symbol.

apparently, you cannot change it from the display panel on the left. So I am not sure what is going on.

The work around is possible but  what a pain! It took me 5 minutes.

You could create a symbol manually if you have the patience.

1- Load all the images - first all 1 t0 9 then add the others so they are all in order. 1 to 52.

2- select them all, right click and create the symbol

3- enter the symbol and select all the images

4- on frame one select display on

5- on frame two select display off

6- move each image displays to the right one by one so the on is at the same frame as the off of the preceeding one. the first 3 are done in image below. You can see the ones above are all in the same 2 original frames.

Awesome! This will help others! I am glad you found the reason why it would not import properly. This will make things way easier than animating manually.

    Hi, Mastersirhc-

Since it seems like the majority of these questions have to do with Fireworks, I'm going to move this thread over to that forum.

    Thanks,
