Cropping to a fixed size

Oct 24, 2013 8:42 PM

Is it possible to crop to a fixed size (e.g. 400 x 250 pixels) in Elements the same way you can in Photoshop?

Yes, you can crop to a fixed size in Elements.

First click the crop preset dropdown in the crop tool option bar and select "No Restriction".  You might have 'Photo Ratio' or some other preset ratio selected there. After choosing 'No Restriction' enter the values you want in the width and height textfields. Commit and image size will change to that.

Do let me know if there is any confusions.

Alternately, you can use the rectangular selection tool.  Set a fixed size as desired. Select > Inverse and delete.  Then use the crop tool to remove the background.
