RE: Best Resoluton For BG Image

Oct 26, 2013 6:16 PM

Hello Everyone.

My Photoshop .psd files are usually 240,or 300 dpi. For the purpose of creating Custom Background Menu, for the Regular D.V.D, since the file format Is only 720 by 480, Dose It make any different for the Resolution such as 240, or  72 dpi.  Also, since the regular D.V.D format Is 720 by 480, Is it better to make a custom Background inside the Photoshop exactly: 720 by 480.

Start in Encore, open blanc menu and bring that into PS (edit in Photoshop).

Regular dvd is 720x480 but with rectangular pixels. Photoshop files are square pixels.

Also dpi has no meaning in video.

So to avoid any issue start in Encore.

    What does RE mean?

No you cannot save it under another name as that will break the link back to Encore.

If you want to save it for later use Duplicate the menu and save that as....

    Edit menu in Photoshop.

Menu opens in PS then make duplicate, save this duplicate to another name.

    Now save original menu.

Within Encore you can save menu as template.
