Printing a booklet

Oct 31, 2013 1:56 PM

II wanted to design a program that is 8-1/2x11.  I created a custom tabloid-half page so when it is folded, I get the 8-1/2x11 program.I The layout is correct, however when I try to print I get a message and it won't print.  The message says the active document uses multi-page sizes and you can print booklets with consistent sized pages.  My pages are all the same, so I don't understand why I'm getting that message.  I am a new user, to InDesign, so it's possible that I'm missing something.  Please help!

This is a known bug in CS6. You can try the 8.0.2 update, but I don't think it's fixed, not do I know if iwas fixed in CC.

The only workaround I know that generally works is to copy and paste in place into a new file and try again.

I've only seen this message using File>Print Booklet

    If that's the case

Start a new document that is the size you need.

Do not use the Page Tool to resize your pages.
