    Klappt alles wie beschrieben. Aber: Das HTLM5 Video läuft auf dem PC mit allen Browsern, auf dem Iphone 5, aber auf meinem Android Tablet nur mit dem Chrome Browser. Firefox zeigt das Video nicht. Kennt einer das Probleme und vor allem, kennt einer ein Lösung?

    Hi, I build this with the trialversion of Dreamweaver CC - normally I use the 5.5 - and surpise: the video runs on android only with the chrome, not with the firefox... It works on iphone 5

    Try removing the strikethrough bit

    <source src="HTML5/videoalt.mp4" type="video/mp4">

    <source src="HTML5/Puky.webm" type="video/webm">

    <embed src="HTML5/Puky.flv" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" />

    Hi Ben,

    thank you - one step forward...

    Now it works on the Andoid Tablet.

    1. with the chrome only in fullscreenmode - in other mode I hear only the audio without video

    2. Standard Browser in my tablet shows now the video - that is new

    3. But the firefox says:

    No video with supported format and MME type found...

    Iphone is okay.

    PC Browsers have no problems..

    It looks like the video is not ready when the browser has finished loading. Try adding the higlighted code in an effort to allow the video to load

    <!doctype html>

    <html>

    <head>

    <meta charset="utf-8">

    <title>Unbenanntes Dokument</title>

    </head>

    <body>

    <video id="video" width="480" height="340" poster="Bilder/Videostart.jpg" controls autobuffer>

      <source src="HTML5/videoalt.mp4">

      <source src="HTML5/Puky.webm" type="video/webm">

      <embed src="HTML5/Puky.flv" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" />

    </video>

    <script>

    var video = document.getElementById('video');

    video.addEventListener('click',function(){

      video.play();

    },false);

    </script>

    </body>

    </html>

    I don't have an Android device that I can try it on. If the above does not work, try removing the controls attribute.

    Hi Ben, thank you - the video now runs on android devices like a HTC Phone.

    On my tablet, the wirks with the standard brower, chrome, but not with

    firefox - I think, this is more an firefox problem than an android problem.

    Best regards

    Michael
