link to a popup jpeg

Nov 4, 2013 11:08 AM

Hi

have client who wants to have a link from text to a popup showing a newspaper article.

ie"Click Here" to read article ...

Thought about using javascript but that seems to cause issues with the browser security,

I want it to open in another window centered on the web page so that the enduser can close the window with the original behind

I thought about spry popup but is there a better way??

thanks

Ian

You can't do this without JavaScript.  JavaScript is safely used by millions of web sites to enhance user experience and interactivity.  Don't confuse Java with JavaScript. They are very different.

Fancybox would be a good way...

I think you may be confusing "Javascript security issues" with "Java security issues". They are two entirely different animals and Java has been the one with a fair number of problems lately, not Javascript.
