Slow Bridge after Mavericks

Nov 8, 2013 8:16 AM

After the upgrade of mavericks..i get the idea, that bridge lost his cache..

very very slow...i did several things, restarting, upgrading the cache...given it more memory...etc..

But still very slow, every folder must build from zero...

Someone else with the same problem?

I'm working with Bridge 5

I am constantly amazed that users will jump to the latest OS without waiting for the bugs to clear.  Not that this is a bug, but many seen on the PS forum.

Have never updated OS mid-stream but first thought would be that there should be no effect on cache.  Unless you wiped the drive and did a clean install.

If you have large files and have HQ thumbs, and 100% previews checked that can take a long time.

Check free disk space.  You should have 10% minimium, but more like 20% for smooth operation.

Are you running on a network?  If so disconnect and run without and see if it makes a differnce.  There are many strange things that happen on networks, and even certain file names can slow things down.
