Dreamweaver shuts down

Nov 11, 2013 3:09 PM

Whenever I launch DW CC, it shuts down immediately. All other CC products work fine. I use a mac mini, OS 10.9.

    Hi jhbc,

Can you provide us with your version number? Did you install the latest update?

On this page, check for DW issues on Maverick ( Mac OS 10.9)

    Thanks,

    Hello jhpbc,

From the thread description it is not clear if Dreamweaver CS6 is crashing on launch or if the application is exiting without any error on every launch.

Can you please share the crash report as a text file attachment if the app is crashing on launch. You can check if the application is crashing by checking if a new report is displayed in Console under "User Diagnostic Reports".

If it is not crashing, can you please share the messages logged in Console on launch of Dreamweaver. Following are the steps to get the console log.

    1. Open Finder

    2. Navigate to /Applications/Utilities/

    3. Run Console

    4. In the sidebar, select "All Messages" under System Log Queries if it is not selected already

    5. Click on "Clear Display" icon in the Consol toolbar

    6. Now launch Dreamweaver.

    7. If it quits again, confirm Dreamweaver CC process as exited in Activity Monitor available in "/Applications/Utilities/" and select the lines logged in Console

    8. Save it as a text file and pass it to us.

    Regards,

    Yalpi Shiva Prasad
