I am working on a Blu Ray project where there are three slightly different cuts of a particular film I want to present on one disc. I am using Playlists (and Chapter Playlists) to accomplish this without having to have three separate full length video files on the disc.
They play perfectly through the main menu, but I would like to create a chapter selection menu for a cut of the film that is constructed using playlists.
Basically I have one full cut of the uncut film. I created a chapter playlist to compile only chapters 3 through 18 (of 20). Then I created timelines of the different beginning and different ending to the film, using only those clips. Then I created a Playlist starting with the Timeline of the beginning, then the Chapter Playlist of the middle portion from the uncut timeline of the film and finishing with the Timeline of the alternate ending of the film.
It plays perfectly when I press "Play" on the main menu. But can I create a chapter selection menu? I don't know how to make it play the full playlist rather than just the Timeline that the chapter point refers to. Is there any way around this?
I hope I was clear enough on what I am attempting. I would really appreciate any help you could provide.

I don't understand this part. You have a timeline of the uncut film. Do you also have more clips that are not in that timeline?
So yes, I'm having trouble following the workflow.
In any event, the usual method for scene selection in movie length pieces is to go to a chapter and continue playing the movie from there. I don't see a way to do that with your structure.
