Weird. I have this cameraphone that tags the GPS info into the fields,but wherever the pencil icon is, even that can be modified. I'm using Bridge CC. Is your file locked to "read only"?
Maybe a cheap way would be to use Save for Web to create a copy that removes the metadata, then use Bridge to see if the GPS data can be added in the copy.
I would imagin that the fields are locked for the same reason that date of creation fields are locked: so that it's not easy to modify, as the app in your phone should know more acturately the GPS location. As mentioned above, all this information can be edited with scripts, which involves modifying the entire metadata packet. A third party app would be easier to do this if you're not familiar with scripting.
Ok, well here's a few Exif editors. Should that work in Kelly's situation?
