autoorients not working in IOS

I've recently produced an IOS app using Flash Builder 4.7/ Air 3.4 (as bundled in Adobe Creative Cloud).  As a final step I decided it would be best if the app supported both Landscape and Portrait orientation as I've read of occassions when Apple have rejected apps for not doing so when they felt it was feasible - my app is a graphically quite simple program that ties in with a website and offers job matching for people in the fishing industry.

The problem is this, all my devices (iPhone 5, iPad2, iPad4) are all running iOS 7.  In my Main-app.xml file if have the following lines:-

<fullScreen>false</fullScreen>

<visible>true</visible>

<softKeyboardBehavior>none</softKeyboardBehavior>

<aspectRatio>portrait</aspectRatio>

<autoOrients>true</autoOrients>

No matter what I do, my app will not autoorient when the device is turned.  I have scoured the internet looking for a solution and nothing so far has worked.  Does anyone have any idea how to fix this as I have hit a complete deadend.
