64-bit Photoshop Elements 12 and Premier Elements 12

Hi All,

I'm new here and I have not had good luck searching the FAQs so, here I am.  I have a new laptop with Windows 8.  I just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and Premier Elements 12 and installed them.  My OS  is x64 but the install didn't give me a choice.  Now I notice that they are 32-bit versions installed.  Simple question...Do they come in 640bit?  If so, how do I get it?  64 bit can access more RAM so it would definitely be better.

The tech specs for the programs explain howthey operate relative to 32/64...

Thanx so much for pointing me in that direction.  It definately says, " and in 64-bit or 32-bit mode on Windows 7 and Windows 8 & 8.1;" which means it should be able to run in 64- mode but I'm not sure how to make that happen.  I work for a software company and our software has two different versions that are installed.  So do you know if I have the wrong version or do they have some kind of switch that I missed setting on installation?

Check if it got installed in both

• C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe

The first would contain the 64-bit version.
