Drop Cap for the numbers in a list?

Dec 13, 2013 6:40 AM

I would like to create the following look:

Drop cap with numbered list.png

I want the numbers to be a numbered list for each paragraph.

But I am unable to apply the drop cap effect to the numbered list items. Only the first characters of the paragraph become a drop cap.

I can create the effect as you see above, but I had to convert the numbers to text.

Have I overlooked something that would do it?

I don't think so. I wonder if putting the numbered list into anchored frames (and leaving the list paragraphs empty, so you only get the numbers), then applying text wrap would work.

That's exactly the way I handle this kind of problem. Unfortunately, you have to anchor the empty list frame at the end of the previous paragraph to get a proper text wrap. If someone has another idea, I'll be glad to know it!

Why not inline as the first character?

Since it's a long time I did not do it for real, I answer too fast… Of course, you are right, Peter. I am pretty sure I actually do it that way.
