I'm running Win7 64-Bit, IE11 64-Bit, and have installed Flash Player 11.9, but some sites (Yahoo Daily Crosswords for one) give this message:

"This content requires Adobe Flash. Your browser currently do not have flash plugin installed. Download the latest version from here."

I've gone through all nine steps in Flash Player Help (several times), then verified the install (I can see the clouds).  When I view the Flash Player Settings Manager Advanced Tab I see: ActiveX Version: 11.9.900.170, Plug-in Version: Not installed.  How do I get the plug-in to install, and will this solve the problem?  If not, what else do I need to do?  Thanks in advance.

Problem's not Flash Player. It's IE11.

This is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11, which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released their latest "untested" browser. The pages (like Yahoo, Facebook, BBC, CBC, EPSN, NFL, NBA) can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser, at least until Microsoft gets their act together and fixes IE.

Firefox (from Mozilla)

Opera (from Opera)

Safari (from Apple)

Chrome (from Google)

ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

That's interesting, because I have two identical Dell PC's, both running Win7 64-Bit and IE11 64-Bit.

PC A is my main PC loaded with multiple apps, including Office, Acrobat X Pro, Outlook, iTunes, AOL Client (yeah, I know), Quicken, etc.  Flash Player doesn't work properly on it, although Compatibility View "fixed" the Yahoo issue.  Thanks for the advice on that

PC B is my emergency PC with only a few apps loaded - none of the ones listed above.  Flash Player works fine on it, including with Yahoo and ESPN.  That suggests to me that it can't be just an IE11 issue.  It must be an IE11 issue when it's loaded in conjunction with something else - OR - I have some other issue like a registry setting or something on PC A.

I seem to have a similar problem to that. Im the webmaster of a webpage and recently many friends of mine cant view this page http://albaniaonline.org/bisedo-shqip anymore (they previously could). I personally   updated their flash players and they still cant view the page. What is to be done?

Thanks in advance!

AOL shares a lot of files with IE, and (I worked for them for 2 years) it causes a LOAD of problems all its own. Since it doesn't have anything (literally anything) you can't access via their website anymore, there's really no need to have just shy of a gig of software and updates on your hard drive for it.

My Win 7 machine is like your B machine. The OS, four other browsers, Creative Suite 5, Office 2010, Skype, Thunderbird and VLC Media Player is the sum total of installed software on it. IE11 works on it.
