Help with “Record Measurements”  in Photoshop

Dec 19, 2013 12:40 PM

I have Photoshop CC and I am trying to record the H and W of a line (in lieu of using an X,Y coordinate system for export to excel for a Master's project).

Every time I check the Height and Width boxes n the custom data points and try to use my ruler tool to record measurememts, it simply does not record the H and W.. It is as if it completely ignores that I have those boxes checed as points to record. It records everything else I DON'T want. How do I get it to record just the H and W changes of the line? When I just have height and width checked, it gives me a message that I have no data points selected for the tool.

I've read every help tutorial and looked at every resource, so you are my last hope.

THANKS!!!

The measurement log will not record width and height of a line, only length and angle.  If you want to record the W & H, use the selection tool.
