spacebar handtool disabled by windows 8.1 update

Hi,

The spacebar hand tool no longer works after windows 8.1 update, the hand shows but I cannot pan, a little research leads me to believe this is a problem with the touchpad disabling certain gestures when spacebar is pressed to avoid the cursor jumping about etc. I cant do anything in the control pannel for the touchpad. Is there a work around? I know I'm not the only person with this problem.

It's not the old problem of chrome/firefox running in the background this is new with the 8.1 update.

It's driving me crackers! (I'm running windows 8.1 on an asus...unfortunately)

Your help would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance

Chris

    Chris,

I would suggest following the steps as below:

    1. Go to  Metro UI> Settings > PC and Devices > Trackpad > Touchpad -
    2. Deactivate the Touchpad Delay.

After that check the same in Photoshop

Let me know how it works

    Cheers!

    Mandhir

Will have to try this also, as my Asus laptop is doing the same after switching to 8.1.
