Does Adobe provide any useful assistance in downloading its products?

1. Initial Downloading failures: Is there a human being at Adobe, besides salespeople, who provides any credence to Adobe’s elusive promise of “customer support?”

2. System:  I am downloading PS7 (CC), Bridge and Lightroom for the first time onto a Win 7, 32 bit Pentium-Dual Core PC. This PC has the CS5 Creative suite installed.

3. Problem: Lightroom installed just fine. Bridge keeps failing after 84% download – multiple retries. Both it and PS7/CC say “Installation Failed” -> clicking on “Learn More” à opens a box that says “installation completed though some optional components failed to install correctly” – the “more information” text is blue, but does not respond as a hotlink. It says only “Contact customer support”

Customer support on the Adobe sit ends up being a time-wasting do-loop, pushing me onto the forum. This really comes across as a rotten system.  Need help here.

Thanks
