Image on back and front pages in booklet printing

Jan 9, 2014 4:53 AM

Hello.

I have a conundrum.

I want to have an image that spreads over the back and front page of a document, which ultimately will be printed booklet style.

I am struggling to get this just so if I set it up with spreads, i.e. I am having to place the image twice and try and guess the marrying of the central point.

Or I can allow pages to shuffle which then allows me to bring the back page to infront of the front page to allow me to place the one image over the area, but then this screws up the booklet printing.

Any advice?

Try this link to a previous post.

In the past when designing for print, I always designed and supplied the cover separately to the booklet/brochure pages, never had a problem at the printers.

Or you caan place once and position correctly on either the font or back page, then copy and paste in place on the other and they will be perfectly matched.

I use that trick all the time. Before you say it won't work you should try it.

Sounds more like you trying to print on too small a sheet to get the full bleed into the printable area.
