Interact directly with chat via XML?

We are considering integrating Adobe Connect support directly into an enterprise app as the Connect infrastructure is already in place.

However, we'd like the app to receive notifications when a chat message is received in a particular pod, and then be able to send a chat message to the pod.  We don't want to have to full meeting interface always displayed to do that.

However, I don't see anything in the XML API on how to interact with a meeting once it's been joined.  Are there any options available to do that?

I don't believe there is an API for interacting with the built in chat pod in Connect. However you could look to use the chat pod available in the Extensions page for Connect, http://www.adobe.com/products/adobeconnect/extend.html#3, and see if you can work out external communication, or just build a chat tool yourself using the Collaboration Builder SDK for connect. If you created a custom chat pod, you could have it set up to communicate with and external application so you could use the chat functionality without being in the room.

The SDK can be found here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/adobeconnect.html
