Hello, InDesign DPS community.
I used InDesign and DPS to produce a very nice digital magazine last year that features embedded video pieces. It's in the Apple app store and I'm quite proud of it:
The ultimate goal for my videos would be to have a pause/play bar that allows scrubbing, as well as the option to go full-screen. I remember when I was building Scientific Tucsonan (using CS6, not CC), I could not get this to work correctly. However, if I recall correctly, there was a box in the media panel that I could check to force the video to go full screen when tapped. That was good enough for me. I created a poster that looked like a player (see my screenshots in the App store) and when the user tapped play, the video played in full screen.
Since I created Scientific Tucsonan, Indesign CS6 has become CC. And with that change, seemingly, I cannot get my embedded videos to go full screen.
No matter what controller I select from the media panel, when I preview the app in Adobe Content Viewer (either on my desktop or on the iPad), I get two options: tap to play, and tap to pause. Forget the pause/play bar with scrubbing, I'd settle for just the ability to get it to go full screen. But maddeningly, no matter what controller I select, I don't see a change in Content Viewer.
I thought maybe CC got picky about encoding. I usually encode the high-quality MOV files to MP4 using Handbrake. I read this Adobe article that seems to indicate F4V or FLV might be preferred, so I used the Adobe Media Encoder to try that format. Didn't make a difference.
Can anyone help?

Many thanks, I had forgotten that's where you set it to go full screen.
So that gets me back to the way I did it the last time around, but what about the controllers? Why can't it play in a small format, embedded within the rest of the content in my magazine, and there be an option to go full screen?
In the folio overlays panel turn off "play full screen" and turn on "tap to view controller". Our help topic on the video overlay might be helpful: https://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/help/audio-video-over lays.html.
