how do I install a new font in ID cs6?

    You don't install fonts in InDesign. You install fonts on your computer, whether it be on a Macintosh or Windows computer.

     

    InDesign (like the other applications on your computer) make available in the Font menu what you have installed, or fonts which are installed by other applications. For example, some fonts are installed by Microsoft Office or by an Adobe Creative Suite or Creative Cloud installation.

    Office should automatically install fonts.

     

    If you need to know about installing fonts on Mac or PC refer to either the Microsoft or Apple forums.

    You wouldn't install them using Microsoft Office, but in Windows, I'm assuming. I'll let the Windows users tell you how. (I use a Mac.)

    Select all the fonts you desire to install.

    Press your right mouse button.

    Select Install from the context menu.
