Move image in PS CC from one screen to another

Feb 15, 2014 12:44 PM

I just put Adobe Photoshop CC on my Mac Pro.  I used to be able to bring up an image on the left screen in Photoshop and then moveit to the right screen.  This allowed me to have Photoshop and all of my toolbars, etc. on the left screen and have the image on a screen with nothing else.  I assume it is a simple switch that I have been unable to figure out and would appreciate any help in freeing up the image and allowing me to move it to a different screen.

Thanks - CJ

In Photoshop > Preferences > Interface, try unchecking "Open Documents as Tabs."  Then you should be able to drag image windows to your second monitor.

Or set up an Action triggered by a shortcut that that switches between tabbed and Tile views (as suggested in the Michael Ninness Power Shortcut tutorial from last year's Adobe Max.

Another way, and one I use a lot, is to right click the layer(s) and duplicate to the other document.
