How do I convert a bitmap image to a work path?

Hi all,

I'm trying to convert the following bitmap figure to a workpath. Basically what I want is to have one path for each line segment in the figure, but the problem is that some of the lines are actually dotted, some slightly curved, and some are thicker than others, so I'm not sure what I can do with photoshop. I'd really appreciate it if anyone knows the solution to this problem. Thanks a lot!

If you want workpaths and not a filled shape that takes line thickness into acount, then bit the bullet and trace with the Pen tool.  About ten minutes top.
